Baby Surrender - In Loving Arms
A project related to the California Newborn Abandonment Law that allows women to surrender a newborn within three days to a hospital without legal consequences. The project was done in conjunction with Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare system and included stickers placed in agricultural areas, especially portable toilet facilities. This project received local and state recognition

Project Information:
Through a collaborative effort with Salinas Valley Leadership, Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System, and Salinas Valley Volunteer Service League, we developed a brochure and sticker to help promote awareness regarding the Newborn Safety Surrender Law; sticker initiative to spread awareness—informational sticker placed in 185 Port-a-Potties from Star Sanitation (Pacific Ag Rentals) with the target demographic being the migrant labor force; brochure/pocket card to spread awareness—for Monterey County Office of Education to use in case management services, for Planned Parenthood Monterey / Santa Cruz County to use in clinics and educational programs.
