Roosevelt Readers

Group collaboration to bring books to local elementary school. Enough books donated that each student could leave with their own book. In addition volunteers from the community volunteered time to read to small groups of students during the day.

Project Information:
June 3, 2003, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm; the event was a one-day book fair designed to instill a love of books and reading for pleasure in children in kindergarten through sixth grade; they had the opportunity to read from various entertaining books with a volunteer and then choose one book to keep as a gift.
