Mount Toro Career Day

Vision:
Provide students at Mount Toro High School an opportunity to meet and interact with a number of business organizations, including public sector allowing students to see possibilities of future career opportunities.

Sponsors:
Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System (Ken Goebel) provided continental breakfast for presenters and LSV members Old Town Café & Deli (Gordon Chin) provided lunch for presenters, student participants and LSV members. Principal Murry Schekman provided onsite planning and organizational input and facility support on the day of the event

Project Information:
May 9, 2003, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm; the goal was to present a variety of career options to the students, to show them the opportunities available to have an enjoyable, stable, reputable job, while making a good living with or without a college degree; the event included an assembly to provide recognition for students displaying outstanding achievement, and featured special guest speakers including Anna Caballero, Mayor of Salinas.
