Literacy Begins at Birth

Project Information:
An effort to break the illiteracy cycle that plagues infants and children of disadvantaged and low income families; improve early childhood literacy and mental development; provide care packages (available in Spanish and English) that include materials to help parents stimulate their child’s mental development: baby care tip cards, a local community resource guide, child growth charts and children’s books (bilingual).

Newborns and their parents

Objective:
Get Parents to Read to their Newborns

Project:
Focus on providing newborns and their parents with the precious gift of reading books.
