The goal of Leadership Salinas Valley is to add more informed and skillful leaders to the existing pool, which will in turn result in enhanced community problem solving and development.

Foundation

Leadership Salinas Valley is a project of the Salinas Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Foundation is governed by a seven-member board of directors comprised of a combination of Leadership Salinas Valley alumni and Chamber officers. Donations made to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

What Makes A Good Leader

Noted author Leo Rosten was once quoted as saying, "I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be happy. I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above all, to matter: to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all." If you have done this, you are a leader.
